Batting Tips
- • Always buy batting larger than your quilt top
- • Longarm quilters need 4-8" extra on all sides
- • Let batting relax overnight before quilting
- • Cotton batting shrinks when washed (gives vintage look)
- • Polyester batting is lighter and doesn't shrink
- • Batting can be pieced using a zigzag stitch or herringbone stitch
